MEET DR. MARK GOSS
Dr. Goss was raised in Petersburg, a small town in southeast Michigan where his great-grandfather served the community as a physician and surgeon. From a very young age, Dr. Goss had a desire to help improve people's lives through the art and science of medicine. He graduated from Hillsdale College, in Hillsdale, Michigan, with a B.S. in Biology. Throughout his four years in Hillsdale, he worked as a volunteer in the surgery department at the local hospital.
This confirmed his desire to pursue a career in healthcare and after personally experiencing foot and ankle issues, a field dedicated to restoring function to the structural foundation of the human body just made sense. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University, College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, in Des Moines, Iowa. There, he served as vice president of the Iota Chapter of the Pi Delta National Podiatric Honor Society.
Dr. Goss completed a three-year surgical residency program at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he served as chief resident. This provided extensive training in forefoot and rearfoot/ankle reconstruction, trauma surgery, arthroscopy, and diabetic limb salvage techniques. Additionally, Dr. Goss has authored and co-authored publications on various topics in foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Goss is thrilled to serve and become a part of the Yuma community as a member of Yuma Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He is affiliated with Yuma Regional Medical Center and is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
